Logseq YouTube Captions

Overview

A Logseq plugin that downloads YouTube video captions and subtitles directly into your knowledge base. Simply run the command on any block containing a YouTube link, and the captions are automatically inserted below.

Usage

1. Add a YouTube video link to any block
2. Run /get-youtube-captions from the slash menu
3. Captions are inserted as a child block

Works with:

• Standard YouTube URLs (youtube.com/watch?v=...)
• Short URLs (youtu.be/...)
• Embedded video blocks ({{video ...}})

AI-Powered Summarization

Settings

• Caption Language - Set your preferred language for downloads
• Error Handling - Displays helpful errors when captions aren’t available in the requested language
