All Purpose Barbeque Sauce
Good general purpose sweet bbq sauce
Ingredients
- 108 g brown sugar
- 272 g ketchup
- 63 g molasses
- 60 ml white distilled vinegar
- 10 g garlic powder
- 7 g smoked paprika
- 4 g cayenne
- 15 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 18 g kosher salt
- 3 g black pepper
Cookware
- medium saucepan

- smoking gun

Steps
Step 1
In a medium saucepan , stir together 108 g brown sugar 272 g ketchup 63 g molasses 60 ml white distilled vinegar 10 g garlic powder 7 g smoked paprika 4 g cayenne 15 ml Worcestershire sauce 18 g kosher salt 3 g black pepper
Step 2
Place over medium heat, and let the mixture come to a simmer.
Step 3
Once simmering, continue cooking, stirring occasionally, for 8 minutes , or until reduced and thickened slightly.
Step 4
Pour the barbecue sauce into a bowl . If you have a smoking gun , cover the bowl with plastic wrap and slide the probe of the gun into the bowl. Fill the bowl with smoke, and remove the probe. Let sit, covered, for 5 minutes . Stir, taste, and repeat 2 or 3 more times until smoky to your liking.
Step 5
Serve how you like it! Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
