Ingredients

  • 0.50 cup salad oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 0.33 cup sugar
  • 0.25 cup white vinegar
  • 0.50 tsp salt
  • 0.50 tsp ground black pepper
  • 0.50 cup slivered almonds
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 1 package chicken flavored ramen noodles
  • 0.50 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 head Napa cabbage
  • 6 green onions
  • 3 cooked chicken breast
  • 0.50 bunch fresh cilantro

Instructions

Dressing

Combine 0.50 cup salad oil , 1 tsp sesame oil , 1 tbsp soy sauce , 0.33 cup sugar , 0.25 cup white vinegar , 0.50 tsp salt , and 0.50 tsp ground black pepper in a jar. Shake well and set aside.

Toppings

Toast 0.50 cup slivered almonds on a baking sheet in the oven at 350 °F until golden, 5 minutes .

Melt 0.25 cup butter in a skillet. Crumble 1 package chicken flavored ramen noodles and add to the skillet with 0.50 cup sesame seeds and the ramen seasoning packet. Stir until golden and crisp. Allow to cool to room temperature.

Salad

Shred 1 head Napa cabbage and thinly slice 6 green onions . Combine in a large bowl with 3 cooked chicken breast and 0.50 bunch fresh cilantro .

Just before serving, add the toasted almonds, crispy noodle mixture, and dressing to taste. Toss and serve immediately.
