Makes about 1 cup.

In a small saucepan , melt the 0.50 cup unsalted butter over medium heat and heat until it comes to a boil. Remove from the heat but keep hot.

Place the 4 large egg yolks and 0.50 lemon lemon juice in a blender or the cup of an immersion blender. Pulse a few times to combine. With the blender running, slowly stream in the melted butter and blend until a thick sauce forms, about 15 seconds . Transfer the hollandaise to a saucepan , season with kosher salt , cover, and keep warm.
