Classic Banana Bread
A moist and flavorful bread made with ripe bananas, perfect for breakfast or a snack.
Ingredients

- 1.75 cups all-purpose flour
- 0.50 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 0.50 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cups granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 ripe bananas
- 0.50 cup sour cream
- 0.50 cup chopped walnuts
- 0.50 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
Prepare Oven and Pan
Preheat your oven to 350 F. Grease your 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper .
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl , whisk together 1.75 cups all-purpose flour , 0.50 teaspoon salt , and 1 teaspoon baking soda . Set aside.
Cream Butter and Sugar
In a large bowl , beat 0.50 cup unsalted butter (softened) and 1 cups granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes .
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Beat in 2 eggs one at a time, then stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract .
Incorporate Bananas and Sour Cream
Mix in the 3 ripe bananas (mashed) and 0.50 cup sour cream until well combined.
Combine with Dry Ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
Add Optional Ingredients
Fold in 0.50 cup chopped walnuts or 0.50 cup chocolate chips if using.
Bake
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 65 minutes , or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool and Serve
Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes , then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy.
