  • 0.50 cup soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 0.25 cup mirin
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

Combine 0.50 cup soy sauce , 0.25 cup brown sugar , minced 3 cloves garlic , grated 1 tbsp fresh ginger , 2 tbsp honey , and 0.25 cup mirin in a saucepan .

Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.

In a small bowl , whisk 1 tbsp cornstarch and 2 tbsp water together to make a slurry. Add to the saucepan.

Continue cooking and stirring for 3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Remove from heat and let cool. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
